You have been rocking and rolling your business for a little while now. A year at least, maybe two. It's gone from being a fun project that lights you up to you working 80+ hours a week trying to take care of your clients and keep your business going.

Your dog doesn't recognize you anymore. Your husband never sees you. You've become this zombie with blood shot eyes who never see's the light of day.

I get it, but it's time for that to change. It's time for you to add to your team.

Hiring a virtual assistant sounds like it should be a simple enough task. You want to have more free time and get some things off your plate... hire a VA! Boom. Done. Right?

Not so much.

All VAs are not created equal.

There, I said it!

Virtual Assistant is such a loosely used term that it can mean almost anything to anybody. Which also means if you hop into a Facebook group looking for a "virtual assistant," you're going to get bombarded with comments from everyone. And there's a fairly decent chance none of them will actually have the skills you are looking for.

Sooooo daunting, right?? Who has time for that?

Don't get me wrong. A general VA might be a good first step for you if you aren't quite sure what you need help with. They usually have a little bit of knowledge in a wide variety of areas and can help take some tasks off your hands. A lot of new VAs start out with a general task list until they get a feel for what they enjoy doing. Nothing wrong with that!

But ultimately you're going to need to have a super specialized team. I hear what you're saying. "I can't have a full specialized team right now." I get it. And that's okay! We work up to these things!

I want you to be aware of this though, as you start to add to your team.

What they should be doing instead.

Why they should do it (the tangible benefits they’d get from doing it)
